About
This site was first started to showcase a computer project I was working on at the time. Since then, I’ve added a few other projects as well as some photos I’ve taken. Of course, I then became pretty bored with it, and it often sat dormant for months at a time. Finally, in summer of ‘07, I found Wordpress and re-built the website around a blogging format.
My two main interests are mountain biking and technology, with a new emphasis on cloud computing and open-source software. But, instead of two blogs, each devoted to one of those topics, I just combine the two on here. In other words, don’t be surprised to see bike reviews or tips mixed in with links to Web2.0 sites or free software, or even a dumb YouTube video here or there.

I began using 1&1.com as my web host in ‘06 after my last host became unreliable. In the last year, I’ve had zero downtime, and I’ve even been asked by a couple people who my webhost was because they wanted to switch to it. They have great bandwidth speed, easy set-up, quick phone help Mon.-Fri. (but it’s pretty weak on weekends), and are very cheap. Click one of the links below if you’re interested in building a website with a great host.
